Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. FileCPU runs entirely in your browser. Your images are read into memory, placed into a PDF locally, and handed back to you as a download. Nothing is ever transmitted or stored.

What page sizes can I choose?

"Fit to image" makes each page exactly the size of its image — no borders, the photo fills the page edge to edge. A4 and US Letter place each image centered on standard paper with a small margin, ready for printing.

Do I control the page order?

Yes — the list is the page order. Drag rows to rearrange, use the arrow buttons on touch screens, or hit "Sort A→Z" to order files by name. One image becomes one page.

Will my phone photos come out sideways?

No. Photos taken with a phone often store their rotation as hidden EXIF data rather than in the pixels. FileCPU reads that data and places every image upright in the PDF automatically.

Which image formats are supported?

JPG/JPEG, PNG and WebP. PNG transparency is flattened onto a white page — invisible on paper, since a PDF page is white anyway. HEIC (iPhone native format) is not supported yet.

How many images can I convert?

Up to 100 images at once, each up to 25 MB. The limits exist because all the work happens in your browser's memory.
