Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. FileCPU runs entirely in your browser. Your PDF is read into memory, edited locally, and handed back to you as a download. Nothing is ever transmitted or stored.

How do I reorder pages?

Drag any thumbnail to a new position — the grid is the exact page order of the output. On touch screens, use the arrow buttons on each card. "Reverse order" flips the whole document in one click.

Is rotation permanent?

Yes. Rotating a page writes the rotation into the output file itself, so every PDF reader shows it the same way. Rotations combine with any rotation the page already had.

Can I recover a deleted page?

Not after saving — deletions are permanent in the output. But your original file is never touched: click "Start over" and the untouched original is reloaded fresh.

How many pages can I organize?

Documents up to 200 pages and 25 MB per file. The limits exist because all the work happens in your browser's memory.

Does re-saving reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied losslessly — text stays sharp, images keep their original quality. Only the page order, rotation and deletions change.
